At the opening of the forum, the ministers will sign a Joint Declaration between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Israel and the Czech Republic, aimed at deepening economic, political and technological cooperation between the two countries and institutionalising the Business Forum as an annual event.
Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar and Czech Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Petr Macinka, one of Israel’s closest friends in Europe, will open the Israel–Czech Republic Business Forum in Tel Aviv on Tuesday, July 14. The forum is led by the Economic Division of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in cooperation with the Israel Export Institute and the Manufacturers Association of Israel.
This is the second business forum to be held this year. It follows the large-scale business forum held in Prague in May during Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar’s visit to the Czech Republic, accompanied by the largest Israeli business delegation to visit the country in recent years. The two forums reflect the depth of the economic ties between Israel and the Czech Republic and the significant potential for expanding cooperation between the two countries.
At the opening of the forum, the ministers will sign a Joint Declaration between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Israel and the Czech Republic, aimed at deepening economic, political and technological cooperation between the two countries and institutionalizing the Business Forum as an annual event.
The business forum will include dozens of business meetings involving approximately 40 representatives of Czech companies and representatives of the manufacturers’ associations of both countries. More than 170 representatives of Israeli companies have registered to participate in the event. Roundtable discussions will be held on export promotion and defense cooperation, cooperation between the healthcare systems of the two countries, and the participation of Czech companies in transportation infrastructure projects.
The business forum, organized by the Economic Division of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Israel Export Institute, in cooperation with the Manufacturers Association of Israel and the Israel–Czech Chamber of Commerce, will focus on creating new partnerships and expanding cooperation in the fields of industry, healthcare, defense, innovation and technology. Representatives from several Israeli government ministries will also participate.
Against the backdrop of the central role of healthcare reform on the Czech Government’s agenda, Czech Deputy Minister of Health Igor Karen will also participate in the visit. As part of the forum, he will meet with senior officials from Israel’s healthcare system and with Israeli companies to promote the exchange of knowledge and Israeli expertise in hospital management, emergency medicine, crisis preparedness and medical innovation.
The visit reflects the continued strengthening of the strategic relations between Israel and the Czech Republic and the shared commitment to deepening political, defense and economic cooperation.
