Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif extended high praise to the national cricket squad following their impressive victory over arch-rivals India in the high-octane Hong Kong Sixes tournament. The Prime Minister commended the team’s commanding tactical execution on the field while highlighting the importance of sporting achievements in uplifting national morale.
The high-stakes fixture saw Pakistan showcase exceptional batting aggression and disciplined short-format bowling to comfortably surpass the target set by India. Facing a competitive total of 88 runs in the six-over contest, Pakistan’s power-hitters quickly seized control, completing a decisive four-wicket win with plenty of balls to spare. The performance reaffirmed Pakistan’s traditional dominance in the fast-paced, abbreviated format of the game.
Taking to social media, PM Shehbaz Sharif expressed immense pride in the team’s performance, acknowledging both the players and the administration for their commitment. Sports analysts across the region noted that victories against traditional rivals like India consistently serve as major highlights for regional sports governance and public enthusiasm.
