ADEN — The Yemeni Armed Forces have launched 1,211 targeted strike operations against Houthi positions, supply convoys, and artillery posts as part of the ongoing offensive codenamed “Yemen Dawn.” Providing an operational update on social media platform X, military spokesperson Majid al-Nuzaili confirmed that government forces neutralized approximately 387 Houthi commanders and militia members, while disabling 96 military vehicles and a rocket launcher during the latest offensive push.
The widespread military escalation marks a critical phase in the government’s strategic campaign to dismantle fortified rebel lines and neutralize hostile firing points across multiple frontline provinces. Combining aerial assets with ground forces, the joint operations aim to degrade the insurgent group’s operational logistics, clear strategic corridors, and reclaim key territorial positions.
According to the official briefing, government forces executed coordinated strikes using combat aircraft, unmanned aerial vehicles, field artillery, and heavy rocket launchers. The combat operations concentrated heavily across Taiz province, with major engagements taking place along the Al-Shaqab, Al-Qarud, Sanmat, and Al-Sarari battlefronts. Supported by tactical air cover, ground units disrupted rebel movements and forced hostile formations to fall back from contested sectors.
Simultaneously, specialized formations—including the Homeland Shield Forces and the Giants Brigades—repelled multiple infiltration attempts along the Tur al-Baha front, successfully securing several defensive outposts. Strategic offensive thrusts were also executed across the Marib frontlines, specifically targeting Houthi defense lines and incoming reinforcements within the Raghwan and Mas belt sectors.
Al-Nuzaili reaffirmed that armed forces will maintain offensive momentum across all active operational sectors, emphasizing that strict precautions remain in effect to safeguard civilian populations and infrastructure throughout the campaign.
